About Us

Qipaomood is a mother - daughter qipao store aiming to create affordable and personalized experiences for qipao lovers. We provide free alterbation services based on your personal measurements so that you don't need to worry about the fitting after receiving our product. The name itself was partially inspired by the iconic movie "In the Mood for Love" in which the protagonist Maggie Cheung changed more than 20 qipao outfits there.

We started this journey 4 years ago first with Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/QipaoMood) in the midst of the pandemic when most people are not allowed to shop outside. Since then we have helped thousands of people find their desired qipao for their weddings, ceremonies, graduations etc. Unfortunately the business came to a sudden halt when last december Etsy suspended my shop without providing me any reason. I immediately appealed but with no avail. Despite the devastation, I have determined to focus on this site, continuing providing my service to qipao lovers. 

As demanding as qipao can be for your figure, we are currently offering free alterations for all the dresses so they can be well fitting for you (I know how costly alterations can be in North America, Europe, and other counties ). Alteration usually takes 1-5 days depending on the workload and if we have the dress in stock. We also offer customization for some of our wedding dresses, please send us an inquiry if you want to have a customized dress.

How do we work exactly?

• You choose a dress size closest to your measurements based on our size chart in the item descprition. ( please note that our size can differ with the size in US, UK, EU etc.).
• Leave you exact measurements(you can find measuring instructions here) for bust waist and hip in the personlization box while ordering the dress for us to alter.
• Then leave the rest to us, we will prioratize your order if it is a rush one and provide the trackable tracking link to you once it is handed to the shipping company so you know where your item is at.
